In 2017, I took a trip as part of my graduate program to Mexico City. While there, we took some time to get out of the city where we passed the outskirt underdeveloped areas – the colorful, yet sobering view of what certain societies live through daily.

This was one of many first-hand visuals demonstrating that people in marginalized communities often do not have the same environments and resources as others.

I, like many others, am a lover of sport. That’s why I created SportSpace, a US based nonprofit organization (pending tax exemption status). Our mission is to create and restore sporting spaces and infrastructure so kids and adults can enjoy playing the sport they love.
